6/12/2022 – Brasov, Romania

From Lxxx ( Day 109): Dear brothers and sisters, I am in Brasov, Romania and this beautiful city in the mountains looks like a paradise. And I am so happy to be with my grandchildren again. Yesterday we went to eat ice-cream, played and had fun. Vxxxx, the youngest, didn’t let me go, holding my hand all the time.

I have a mixed feeling of happiness being here and of sadness behind it. It’s like being teared apart, I want to stay here with my grandchildren and at the same time I want to go back as soon as possible.

I couldn’t sleep well after hearing some news last night. There were two big explosions of mines in our area, one happened in the sea and the man who tried to swim died (it was so unwise to do it) and another one exploded on the beach. There are a lot of sea mines in the Black sea placed there by the enemy and those mines are brought to the shore by the waves. And the beach was mined by our military forces to prevent the shore from landing from the sea. And it saved our area, after making several attempts to land from the sea the enemy gave up that idea. It is constantly announced and there are warning everywhere to stay away from the sea, but some people ignore it.

I am looking forward to visit the church and to see my dear friends who live here. Today in the eastern Europe is a holiday of Pentecost. This holiday is special for me. I became a Christian while working as an interpreter with the missionaries and experienced very well how Holy Spirit can make the gospel can cross the barrier of languages.

Txxx had a group meeting yesterday. You can see in the photo a girl in a white dress, her name is Vxxx and it was her birthday. She received many happy wishes from the group and everybody wished her peace.

Let’s pray for the work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of people to bring them peace.

In Christ,
Lxxx

  1. Dear Lxxx,
What beautiful grandchildren! You look so happy.

So wonderful you are enjoying your time with them. Very cute that the youngest would not let go of your hand.

I hope you had a nice holiday of Pentecost .
What a great testimony that the Holy Spirit worked across the language barriers with the gospel when you worked as an interpreter.
    Glory to God.

Praying for refugees, especially Vxxx , the birthday girl – for the Holy Spirit to continue working, and to give them peace.

Wishing you a good Lord’s Day sister.

    Anne

  2. Your words, yet again, bring tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing your stories and life with us and giving us a clearer way to pray for Ukraine and believers in the area. Lord, please protect them.
