From Lxxx ( Day 115): Dear brothers and sisters, It’s one week already of my stay in Romania, away from home. Every day I wake up with thoughts and prayers of my country. Although I enjoy being with my grandchildren and like this nice city I want to go home especially when I read the news or talk with somebody from Ukraine.
Yesterday I heard a sad news. Our elder Vxxxx, who got sick with pneumonia two weeks ago after thorough examinations and tests found out that he has a lung cancer. I am thinking of him all the time. Please, pray for him and for his wife Valya.
Our brother Ixxxx had three days off this week. He came to the church, played music, spent some time with a youth group. It was a joyful time for him and for them.
Two rockets were destroyed in the air this night. They were sent from Crimea to Odessa area. Oil refinery was bombed in Poltava region, the situation in the east is tensed and hard.
The refugees in our town are from different places : Kharkiv, Mariupol, Nikolayev, Kherson, Donetsk region. All these places are either occupied or intensively bombed. I want to go home and I know that soon I will go home, but our refugees who talk about their homes all the time can not go back and they don’t even know if their homes are still there.
Here in Romania everything is quiet and nice. My grandchildren went to Awana club this morning, local Baptist church invites children on Saturdays. I have some quiet time for reading and study.
I wish you to have a good weekend.
