From Lxxx (Day 117): Dear brothers and sisters, Thank you for your care and support. Thank you for your faithful prayers. I had a walk early in the morning, it was a good and peaceful time when I can be alone. In our church group chat somebody shared a verse:
”Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalms 116:5-9

Yesterday my grandchildren were playing in the park and Vxxx, the youngest fell off the swing. She let go of her hands while swinging. I took her photo a minute before it happened. She hit her arm and scratched her elbow. I felt very sorry for her but at the same time I thought how silly it was to let hands off. Today I am thinking that this is what happens to me when we I go of my hands and don’t hold on God.

Yesterday a new church in Brasov had a good worship, there were new people, the church is growing and needs a bigger place for a worship. We listened to a recording of the sermon of Vxxxx Zxxxx, the pastor of Odessa Prebyterian church. It was about the work of Holy Spirit, the Comforter.

My middle granddaughter has a friend, a nine-year-old girl Lxxx. We live in the same building. Lxxx told us that her grandfather who is 75 doesn’t have a clear mind, he doesn’t know where he is and what is happening. He acts strangely and sometimes he is dangerous, so her mother has to stay with him all the time, that’s why Lxxx can only play near the building, her mother can’t take her to other places. We took her for a walk to the park with us, then we had ice-cream together, she was very happy being with us.

I heard some news from home. At 5 a.m. our town was woken up by the loud sounds of jet planes flying above the city. Later in the morning everybody found out that our aviation gave a big blow to the Snake Island in the Black Sea that was occupied by the enemy from the beginning of the war and where they kept the weapons for bombing our southern area.

May the enemy be defeated a great peace come!

In Christ,
Lxxx

  1. Dear Lxxx,
Great to see so many at the church there and good it is growing! It is wonderful Vxxx Zxxxx can continue to preach, because of modern technology.
Scary for BD to wake-up to the sounds of planes flying over, but comforting to know it was the good guys! I pray this puts a big stop to the attacks, because the weapons have been destroyed from this island!
    Love in Christ,
    Jill

  2. Dear Lxxx,

What a beautiful picture of your granddaughter. Your story is a great illustration of the Lord’s care. Especially because she seems to always be holding your hand in the pictures : )

The verses Psalm 116:5-9 are precious indeed.

Wow, the Lord is bringing His people together in Brasov! He is so good.

So nice your granddaughter’s friend Lxxx spent time with you.

Sister, the Lord is always bringing people to you, wherever you are, because you are faithful to love and care for them for Him.

Continued prayer for safety and thanks for those jets.

    In Christ, your sister,
    Anne
