6/26/2022 – More bombs and answers to prayers

From Lxxx (Day 123): Dear brothers and sisters, I wish you a good morning and a good Lord’s day!

Rescue In Kyiv

My morning usually starts with scanning the news. The biggest news today is the strike on a residential building in Kyiv. There are people under the rubble. Rescuers are working now. Some people are already taken to the hospital some people are still under the rubble. A six-year-old girl was taken out. Her father was found dead and her mother is being looked for.

People who returned to Kiev after Russian troops withdrew, said that they felt safe and that the city was restoring its normal life. But we see that you can never be completely safe while the war is going on. My thoughts are also about Odessa which is often under attacks now.

I thank God for protecting our little town and it’s a real place of refuge for many people. Yesterday Txxx led the group and 25 people came. There were also three girls – volunteers who helped Txxx. They divided the people into three subgroup and Txxx was able to work with them. Amazing changes are happening in the group. Txxx worked individually with Oxxx during the week, the lady who had a panic attack last Saturday when her neighbor called her. Oxxx feels so much better, though she had another disturbing news from home. It’s another amazing story.

Oxxx and her husband have a big garden, they grow fruits and vegetables for sale. When the enemy started bombing Nxxxx region her husband insisted that Oxxx leave and he stayed to take care of their garden where he works mostly all the time when he is not at work. One day this week he planned to be at home but he was called to work. And right at that time a huge bomb hit their garden. A big deep crater was left after the hit. Txxx told Oxxx that many people were praying for her and for her husband this week.

God really blesses our group of refugees in our town, they are very responsive to the work we are doing with them and to the Word of God.

Please pray for three girls who work as volunteers of our counseling center- Ixxx and two Vxxxs. They are a great help, especially now when I am away. It’s also very useful for them to watch, to listen to the stories and to see how the ministry to people works. It also helps them to deal with their life issues.

In the photos attached you can see the ruined building in Kiev, a girl that was rescued from the building, the work of a support group that Txxx led yesterday.

Please, pray for the protection of our cities and for the work of the counselors to help people.

In Christ,
Lxxx

  1. I am so sorry to hear about continuing bombing and pray for everyone’s strength.

“There is none like the God of Jeshurun,
Who rides the heavens to your help,
And through the skies in His majesty.
The eternal God is a dwelling place,
    And underneath are the everlasting arms;
And He drove out the enemy from before you,
And said, ‘Destroy!’ Deuteronomy 33: 26–27

I keep this phrase next to my desk, so I will share it:

When trials come, keep in step with God, and remember His love.
