From Lxxx (Day 133): Dear brothers and sisters, Today I was watching some photos on Facebook, you know that Facebook brings back memories showing the photos of what happened a year ago, five years ago. It looks like it happened not one year ago but long-long ago, as in a different life.
A highlight of yesterday was a message from our brother, Pxxxx Lxxxxxx who is fighting in one of hot spots now. This is what he wrote:
“Have a nice day, everyone!
I recently took this picture (the photo of a sunflower is above)
It reminded me of a passage from 1 Kings. When it seemed to the prophet Elijah that everything was lost and he was the last one who did not turn away from the Lord. But in reality it was not at all like that. And God always has a special plan, even if it seems to us that everything is lost, that we are alone and there is no one around who would know the Word of God! Just everything has its time.
“And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. 15 And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria… Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.” 1 Kings 19:14-15,18
We hear very rare from Pxxxx now and he is in our prayers all the time. It’s so sweet that he found the time to encourage us with this passage. May God be with him every minute and protect him in all situations. May he be a great witness for his friends soldiers.
Sxxxx is taking care of my elderly parents now. Yesterday my dad didn’t feel well, he had arrhythmia. But instead of telling Sxxxx of it he quietly went to his room and lay down. In the evening when Sxxxx and I talk in Zoom my parents usually come to talk, too. Sxxxx was surprised that my dad didn’t come, because he usually comes first. So, this is how we found out about the problem. After he took his medicines my dad felt better.
Tomorrow Kxxx will leave early in the morning to travel to Brasov. The children can’t wait to see her. It was too long. They have never been so long away from their mother. We will cook together something tasty for their mom.
I wish you a good day and a good mood. Thank you for a strong prayer support!
