8/10/2022 – Belgorod Dnestrovsky: Ukraine retaliation in Crimea

From Lxxx (Day 168): Dear brothers and sisters, Every day starts with hope. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1 Peter 1:3-5.

Hope in Jesus helps us to go through difficulties. Yesterday when we were meeting people at the charitable breakfast I thought that they need this hope.

More than 50 people came to our breakfast. We welcomed new people and spent some time with each of them. I talked to a young man whose wife is 7 months pregnant. When they first came to our town from Kharkiv they found the apartment they wanted to rent. But their landlord when saw that they are going to have a baby soon told them to pay just water and electricity bills and no rent. May God bless that man for his kind heart.

A new lady Lxxx was glad to hear about group meetings where people talk to each other. She confessed that she feels very lonely and needs to talk to somebody who understands her.

We see how the number of people we reach is growing and we think of new events for them and the way we can involve more of them into the church.

I also think about doing some training for our volunteers to equip them with skills and abilities to work with people in the ministry we do.

In the photo you can see the people on the beach in Crimea watch the explosions of the military base that is very close. I wonder if they really understand what is going on?

Yesterday the news came about the explosions in the military base in Crimea. So many rockets that hit our cities and killed our people were launched from that base. We hope their launching systems are destroyed now and they will not use them to kill us any more. During the years of occupation Crimea became full of military bases.

Our President told yesterday: “ This Russian war against Ukraine and against all of free Europe began with Crimea and must end with the liberation of Crimea. Russia has turned our peninsula, which has always been one of the best places in Europe, into one of the most dangerous places.
But we will get back Crimea soon.”

The enemy is gathering troops in the south and is planning new attacks on our southern region. Please pray that their plans are destroyed in the same way as their military base in Crimea.

In Christ,
Lxxx
