From Lxxx (Day 180): Dear brothers and sisters, This week is going to be very nice and exciting. We will celebrate two big holidays the Day of National Flag ( August 23) and the Independence Day (August 24). And also we are preparing for a wedding of Ixxxx and Lxxx and it’s such a bright and happy event for all of us. We want it to be very special. There is a warning that there might be more attacks this week, so we need prayers.
Yesterday we had a wonderful day. It’s nice to see people in the church who became our regular visitors. There were new people, too. During the greeting time I introduced myself to a man who was sitting lonely in the back. He smiled and introduced himself. His name is Axxxx. To the question if he has a family he answered: “I had”. Sxxxx wanted to talk to him after the worship but he left early. We hope he will come again. Some new visitors come with children and we are happy to have new kids in our Sunday school.
In the afternoon Grace Pentecostal church that meets in our building organized the picnic in the yard of our church. They were cooking pilaf in a big cauldron on the open fire and had a good fellowship. The girls of our youth group became good friends with their youth, they work together in VBS project and yesterday they stayed and had fellowship together.
Our counselor Vxxx and her pastor continue soup kitchen ministry in Odesa. Most their church members left and they do it by their own efforts. They have regular visitors every Saturday and as they treat them with food they read the Scripture and have some discussions. They also buy medicines and send food to some people who can’t leave their homes.
At the weekend there were two hits on the agricultural enterprises of Odessa region. They destroyed the granary, the place where the grain is stored. The rockets were launched from the ship in the sea. There are more military ships near our coast now. May God give us His protection and help our air defense to destroy all the rockets that they plan to shoot.
