8/29/2022 – Belgorod Dnestrovsky

From Lxxx (Day 186): Dear brothers and sisters, Thank you for your greetings to our newlyweds. It’s a happy event for all of us.

Yesterday we had a good worship. Our sanctuary was still decorated with flowers after the wedding and we enjoyed the celebration atmosphere one more day. Ixxxx and Lxxx went on their honeymoon to the Carpathian mountains, Ixxxx has 10 days of vacations. We were watching photos and videos from the day before and thanked God for the new family and prayed for them.

Our worship was good, Pxxxx Lxxxxxxx came to the church this morning, we had a special prayer during the worship for him and for other soldiers from our church and our town. He read the Scripture from the pulpit before the sermon and had to leave after that heading to join his detachment on the front line.

While I was at the wedding on Saturday Txxx led the meeting of the support groups. She united our two groups together and suggested them to play charades. They all enjoyed the game so much that stayed in the café longer than usual. They all took an active part and were rather inventive describing with their gestures different ideas, the age gap didn’t matter. It was a happy time they spent together. I was glad to see some of them in the church yesterday.

It’s 6 a.m. and we are leaving for Odessa. We pray for a good trip. The only road is very congested by the trucks carrying goods and there is a piece of the road that lies through Moldova, so we will have to stop at the checkpoints there. Last several months the counselors of our center met mostly in Zoom, we plan to have a real meeting today.

Thank you for your prayers.
In Christ,
