8/30/2022 – 1.5 tons of Aid For Ukraine & war commentary

From Jamie Peipon: In just less than 24 hours, FPC – Jackson got almost 1.5 tons of humanitarian and life-saving aid from our parking lot to Poland. The aid traveled on a U-Haul, at least four airplanes, a giant cargo van, lots of little airport vehicles, and dozens of luggage carts. I’m so proud to be on this team and to see each member represent both the hard work of so many others back home, and the compassionate heart of their Savior.

There haven’t been many headline news stories today, but there is been a major development. Many videos and other elements of open source intelligence indicate that Ukraine is no longer simply preparing to take back the city of Kherson in the south by executing occasional surgical strikes. All the data does seem to indicate a new and significant level of intensity. The hope is that this new intensity is evidence of the fact that the long-awaited counteroffensive is officially under way. It is an ongoing operation and so no one is really willing to acknowledge that it is happening.

This likely will be THE story to watch in the coming days. If this is indeed the counteroffensive, it could be a make-or-break moment for Ukraine’s armed forces.

“The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose way is upright; their sword shall enter their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.”

  1. Praying that the Lord will give wisdom to the Ukrainian military leaders and confuse the plans of the enemy. May he be a shield to the righteous.
