From Lyuda (Day 212): Dear brothers and sisters, I wish you to have a good day and I want to share with you the verse of my day today : “ Abide in me, and I in you…” John 15:4
We have many plans today. The women of our church will meet to cook for the soldiers in the church. Now our youth study and we have less helpers but still our cooks are able to do what they usually do.
I will go to the local defense center and work there for a couple of hours. I am glad to see new women there. They are mothers of the soldiers. Now in addition to camouflage nets and snipers’ garments and scouts’ cloaking, women are knitting warm socks.
Now we collect blankets for the soldiers, many people bring to the place where we work blankets and thermal underwear. It’s always an opportunity to talk and start relations with somebody.
Yesterday I talked to a woman, whose son has just joined the army and is going through the training. Because he is still here, he comes home in the evening and she feeds him with his favourite food, because she knows that in a month he will be gone and won’t eat home made food.
Every evening when we have Zoom prayer we pray for the soldiers of our church and for all our defenders. Yesterday Svetlana Lukoshkins, Paul’s mother told us that Paul sends her messages every day, we are glad to hear this and glad to know that he is OK. Sometimes he sends some stories which are always with humor. This week somebody sent them a piece of a very delicious meat and there was even a knife in the packet, so that they could cut it. But there was no bread to eat it with and they had to wait until they got some bread.
Please, pray for Dr. Anya’s brother, Ilya who was wounded. It was a miracle, the pickup truck that he was in was completely destroyed by the explosion, but Illya had only some light injuries. He is recovering and is looking forward to go back fighting.
Yesterday we had a Bible study with our refugees group. The topic was – Creation and we had good discussions based on the first chapters of Geneses.
Four new girls joined our youth group. Please, pray for their hearts to be opened for the gospel and for the Word of God.
