9/27/2022 – Belgorod Dnestrovsky: Drones that kill Ukrainians

From Lyuda (Day 216): Dear brothers and sisters, We had a good night. Yesterday late in the evening around 11 p.m. there was drone attack again, but all the drones were destroyed in the air and then our night was peaceful.

By the end of the war we will be experts of all kinds of weapons. This is the information about the drones that Russia got from Iran:
It is designed to hit targets at a long distance. The drone is guided to a stationary target by satellite coordinates. It is launched from the launch platform, has an engine, with the help of which it gains speed and altitude. The target is hit by a warhead in the nose of the drone.
They can fly so low that radars don’t detect them. The night before, when they hit the village nearby, they were able to come unnoticed and there was no air alarm.

Every Monday a Bible study group meets in the church. Our elder Vitaliy used to lead it, now Sergey is the group leader. They study psalms now. It’s nice that new people who began to attend the church also joined the Bible study. Yesterday there were new people again and Sergey invited them to come today to talk, to tell them about the church and answer their questions. Tuesday became a day for new people in our church. We are glad to see more men coming to the church on Sunday. In our culture it’s hard for men to come to the church so our churches are mostly filled with women.

I talked to the families of refugees who have children to find out how their studies are going on. Most of our schools work remotely, so they can’t spend much time with their classmates. But there are some activities when they meet offline. Remote studying needs self-discipline and self-organization. Not all children can do it and not all parents teach them self-discipline. It’s a good topic for our group meeting. It would be good to help them with their studies. We have many ideas and we feel great joy when we bring them to life and see that they are helpful.

Please, pray for our work

In Christ,
Lyuda

P.S. There are photos of drones that attack us a lot now and the photos of the teenagers we work with.

  1. Dear Lyuda,
    Thank you for the update.
Praying the Soldiers can shoot down all drones, may God bring protection!
That is great more people come to Bible study and also so nice to have support for parents and their children as they try to study remotely.
    Love in Christ,

  2. We pray for your ministry nightly. We are asking that the Lord will cause rivers of Living Water to flow from your innermost being as He promised, to refresh you and to nourish those you serve. We also pray that the Lord will protect His people from the arrows of the enemy as he promised in Psalm 91.

  3. Dear Lyuda
Thank you so much for the photos –
the drones look like man’s attempt to over power the Lord Almighty.
No weapon formed against Him shall prosper.

The teenagers remind me of the Lord’s faithfulness generation to generation.

May the Lord be with you this weekend,
May His countenance shine upon you and bring you His peace,
    Your sister,
    Anne
