From Lyuda (Day 248): Dear brothers and sisters, We had a quiet night and a good morning. Itβs interesting that we learn to give thanks for the things we always took for granted. We are thankful for having electricity and internet. For the opportunity to cook and have a hot water.
Yesterday our elders tried to connect the electricity generator to the church system to use it when there will be electricity outage. And we will prepare candles, too.
Yesterday we had a Zoom meeting with our counselors and it was nice to see everybody joyful, we laughed a lot. Our counselor, Vika was sick with cold and she had to cancel some counseling sessions during the week, she could not teach either because there was no electricity and when she finally had electricity her internet connection was not good enough for her to a give lectures in Zoom, so she had some rest.
Yesterday I spent some time in the hospital with my father and could talk to other men in his ward, they became more sociable and are in a better mood. I also talked to the nurse and she told me about the previous year of Covid. How hard it was when people began to get sick with Covid everywhere and in addition to their ordinary work they had to do many precautions. They still are very watchful about it and make visitors wear masks, shoe covers and gowns. I hope we wonβt have this problem again, especially now.
Sergey and I are going to visit my father in the hospital now and then we will go to the church for our Harvest Holiday.
We wish you to have a good weekend!
In Christ,
Lyuda
P.S. I want to share some photos of our local photographer Aleksander Budkin.
