From Lyuda (Day 249): Dear brothers and sisters, Thank you for your prayers. We had a wonderful day yesterday. No air alarms during the day and there was electricity in the church. Our ladies could cook without problems and we had a wonderful holiday. Our church fellowship room was full. It’s so nice that our refugees take part in all events that our church organizes. We had a good time reading Scripture and thinking about all wonderful things we receive from God every day, we sang songs and listen to a Christian music. I discovered a new Ukrainian Christian group that I liked very much. We also played games, did skits and had a lot of fun.
I am glad that new people make friends with church members and want to participate in the activities we do. They also are ready to help. I am glad that they can see not only worship but also the fellowship of the church.
During these long months of the war we learned to be happy in spite of many sad things happening and on the one hand it may seem strange because not far from us there are occupied cities, every day our territories are bombed and people die.
Many of our soldiers will never come back home, there are many seriously wounded soldiers. But when we praise the Lord we feel this happiness that gives us hope and strength and it is the presence of God that makes us happy in all situations. It makes me think about how Paul and Silas beaten and tortured were singing praises to God in prison.
I wish you to have a good worship today. May God bless you with His special presence and revelation of His Word.
