12/17/2022 – Belgorod Dnestrovsky: Massive attacks

From Lyuda (Day 297): Dear brothers and sisters, We lived through another massive attack yesterday. Seventy rockets were launched to our cities yesterday morning. About sixty of them were destroyed in the air by our air defense but there were some serious hits in big cities where some important energy objects were destroyed, the buildings were ruined, people were wounded and killed.

There was no electricity in the most part of Ukraine. Such big cities as Kharkiv and Kiev were in the darkness. Underground trains didn’t work and people used underground stations as bomb shelters.

We didn’t have electricity all day yesterday but we could do everything we planned. Our ladies gathered and cooked using the generator and the food was delivered to our soldiers who are waiting for rotation here.
It’s good that even when there is no electricity we can have internet when we connect the modem to the car battery.

This way we could have a Zoom meeting with our counselors. This is our weekly meeting where we share the news of the week, have a small Scripture study and pray for each other. Vova and Angela connected to Zoom from hospital where Vova’s mother, Zhanna, is staying now. She has been ill during all these moths of war and her health was becoming worse. Yesterday she was in coma and doctors told Vova that she will not live. It was very hard for Vova.

We are glad to have electricity in the church this morning, we don’t know how long it will last but we can heat the building at least for a while to make it warmer.

We hope we will have a peaceful weekend.
Thank you for your prayers and God bless you!
In Christ,
Lyuda

  1. Makes me soooo mad. This insanity that has gone on for sooooo long.
Thankful, despite it, you are able to have a generator, heat, and still do zoom meeting. Thank you Lord for your provision, protection, of this church and ministry. Continue to establish the work of their hands, and be the light, in the midst of such darkness.
