12/202022 – Belgorod Dnestrovsky

From Lyuda (Day 300): Dear brothers and sisters, It’s 300 days of war. I want to thank you for standing with us in prayer all these 300 days.

Every morning we read news and expect some big changes that will tell us that the Victory is approaching. The news of this morning:

  • The occupants are trying to conduct offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiiv areas.
  • Belarusian and Russian units continue to be accumulated in the border areas with Ukraine.
  • Chernihiv Oblast and Sumy Oblast were shelled by mortars.
  • In Bakhmutskyi and Avdiivskyi districts, the occupants are conducting assault operations
  • Civilian objects were hit by the enemy in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

Yesterday after the massive attack on Kiev and other areas there was announced that the electricity outages will happen all over Ukraine. I was glad to be able to do some chores about the house that needed electricity early in the morning yesterday. The days without electricity become usual for us. I remember how surprising for me was to see that my grandmother kept a box with salt , matches and soap in the attic. The people who remembered WW II always made supplies of some things that they could not get during the war. I am afraid that after the war is over I will still start my morning with checking if my gadgets are charged.

Yesterday I watched how two families from Kherson region met in our town. They were neighbors and had to leave their homes. One family came to our town five months ago and the other had been to several different places already before they came here. When they saw each other they all started to cry. They don’t know when they will come back home because all buildings in the their village are seriously damaged. One woman who is a teacher worries a lot about the building of the school where she used to work.

I hope the new family will join our breakfast today, we will be able to talk about their life now and give them support of the group during the week.

Please, pray for us to bring the atmosphere of Christmas to people around and to help them to see real Christmas
In Christ,
Lyuda

  2. Dear Lyuda
    I am praying.
    Thank you for the pictures.
The art is so powerful too.

Praying as you asked….that the atmosphere of Christmas will invade wherever you are with the Holy Spirit.

Praying for the new family and hoping they joined you for breakfast.

Praying for the youth that the Holy Spirit shapes and empowers their heart, soul and mind to respond to the aggression around them and to the people around them in the Lord Jesus.

  3. Our Father in heaven,
Thine is the kingdom, power and glory.
    Deliver us from evil.
Give us today our daily bread.
    Lead us not into temptation.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
    Hallowed be Thy name.
    Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
