From Lyuda (Day 338): Dear brothers and sisters,
Thank you for your prayers. Ukraine survived another day of massive attack yesterday. When the sound of siren appears we feel more irritation than fear and it’s hard to bear the expectation that something terrible can happen again. But on the other hand when we start praying during this time we can feel how God covers us with his almighty hands and then the feeling of permanent comfort and safety comes which is very special.
Yesterday it lasted almost half a day. Rockets and drones flew at our cities and though our air defense worked hard and destroyed many of them in the air, some of them hit Kiev, Odessa and other cities. There was no electricity, no water. The hardest thing for me is the absence of any connection. There was no internet and mobile nets did not work and I could not call Sergey who was in the church to coordinate our plans. All stores and offices are closed during an air alarm and when you happen to be in the street far from your home you have nowhere to go. I needed to go to the service center yesterday and I went there several times until I finally got inside. Each time I came there a new air alarm started and they stopped working.

The women from our church planned to make a vitamin mix of honey, ginger and lemon to send to the military unit from our town that is on the front line now (the unit where Dr. Anya is serving). This mixture is very helpful during the time when people have tendency to be ill with colds.

But because there was no electricity they could not use the grinder machine and Sergey was going to start the generator for them to do it, but in the afternoon the electricity was given and they were able to make this mixture and fill many jars for our soldiers.
Yesterday evening our youth group met in the church, they were celebrating a birthday of Lita, the girl who has been attending the church for a while with her younger sister. And it’s so nice that their parents began to come to the church. Sergey came home late because he was driving them all home afterwards.
We were glad that God protected us yesterday and even with many obstacles we could fulfil some of our plans.
In Christ,
Lyuda

Dear Lyuda,
The honey ginger lemon mix looks like a great help to the soldiers.
So glad the youth could celebrate Lita’s birthday. And that their parents come to church too.
And so nice Sergy drove them all home.
Praise and thanks the Lord has kept you safe.
Continued prayers, especially for
the dear youth who are growing and serving and receiving the love of Christ through the servant leadership of Sergy and others.
They will be changed for ever. May the Lord Jesus keep them close.

Dear Lyuda,
It is great to hear about the many love notes God sent to you, today!
And a wonderful idea to send the ginger, honey and lemon to the soldiers, especially for this time of year with viruses spreading. It seems the soldiers would be so encouraged to receive things like this done with love!
Love in Christ,
Jill
