2/3/2023 – Belgorod Dnestrovsky: Sasha will walk

Sasha and Nadya before he went to the front line

From Lyuda (Day 345): Dear brothers and sisters, We have a wonderful news. Yesterday I had a call from Nadya and she said that the doctors after thorough examining MRI tests told that Sasha’s spine is not damaged, they checked his legs and said that he has sensation there. The prognosis is good, Sasha will walk. Today he is transformed to another department of the hospital where they will start rehabilitation treatment. We thank God for His love and mercy and for answering our prayers. So many people prayed for him.

“I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.” Psalms 9:1-2

We had a Bible study with our refugee group yesterday and we studied and discussed the parable of the prodigal son. We talked about two sons and the attitude of their hearts. This parable helps us to examine our hearts and our attitude. And as usual at the end everybody talks about the war, there are questions about God’s justice, life and death. People talk a lot about their homes, about their cities.

It’s very painful for people from Kherson to know how hard their city is bombed every day. The territories around that are free are still dangerous because they are mined. Sappers are working hard to clear the fields and the roads. They say that one day of war activities takes one month of hard work of mine clearing.

Rockets, many of which hit our cities

Some refugees that lived in our town for a while and then went to Europe come back. I was glad to see Olga in the church yesterday. Last week Nata returned. They can’t return to their home cities yet, they will stay here. Olga lived in our church before and though we can’t heat the building most time during the day now because there is no electricity, she wants to stay here again.

Thank you for your faithful support and prayers and for the fellowship in the gospel.
In Christ,
Lyuda
