From Lyuda Betina (Day 350): Dear brothers and sisters, The events of the last days show us again how fragile our life is. The earthquake in Turkey took away so
many lives. When we see this we think how much we should value life and the relations we have. That is why the war looks even more absurd when somebody purposely brings suffering and death to this world, just to get what they want. We cry with Turkish people and pray for those who lost their dear ones in this disaster. Another thought is that we should be always ready to face Jesus, even if we live in the country where there is no war, death can come unexpectedly.

We had a good time having breakfast with our refugees yesterday. We all were very happy to see Nadya, she came home for a few days to see her children. She is in a good spirit and is very thankful to everybody
who prays for Sasha. Nadya showed us a piece of metal that was removed from Sasha’s back. We all wanted to see it. It was strange to hold in my hand that cold heavy and sharp piece that was supposed to cause death. We praise the Lord for saving Sasha’s life and we pray for the protection of many other soldiers who are fighting for our land.

There were no soldiers in the café yesterday and we think that they are too busy preparing for moving east and have no free time to go out for a coffee.
Our ladies in the church came up with a new idea, since we don’t cook for the soldiers any more, we will make trench candles that soldiers use in trenches and dugouts. We also send parcels from time to time to
Paul, Dr. Anya and other soldiers we know. We send them some goodies and the things they need.

There was another request to bring a cat. The army of mice attack food suppliers of the soldiers when they are in the fields. One our church lady told us that a stray can often comes to her yard, may be it can be a good pet for the soldiers who love having a living creature with them and maybe it will guard their food from mice.
May God bless your day and your plans.
In Christ,
Lyuda

Our Father in heaven,
Deliver us from evil.
Lead us not into temptation.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Dear Lyuda,
Wonderful pictures, precious faces. Thank you for faithfully showing us God’s people and His work.
That piece of metal is lifeless and unable to penetrate the Holy Spirit.
Just like the Enemy. Ephesians chapter 6 comes to mind and heart as I think about Satan trying to make his schemes and plans look unbeatable.
The Lord is Mighty and will be victorious. Every knee shall bow one day to Him. Amen.
I wonder what names the soldiers pick for their cats.
The Lord certainly uses all His creation for HIs purposes.
With love and prayers, your sister,
Anne
