2/12/2023 – A visit to the Front

From Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (352nd day of ruzzian invasion): As ruzzians keep pushing hard on front lines close to Lyman, being in that town is more dangerous compared to what it was during our trip there a month ago. The sounds of artillery explosions are non-stop. Our team was asked to not stay too long in any one location while distributing food (for fear of coordinated fire on volunteers’ van) and they were told to leave Lyman before it gets dark.

We usually share with you photos of food distributions during our humanitarian aid trips to liberated areas. But this time, let us show you the living conditions of people who live in towns ruined by the war.

The first few photos will show a basement where Valentia took our team to show where she and two other women from her building had been living since April. Her story is not that different from millions of others. After their building was hit by a missile, they moved whatever possessions they could rescue into a basement where they have set up their new “home”.

There is no water, no restroom, no ventilation, and no windows, but there are house plants, pets, photos, and other things that remind them of life before the war. A few days ago the town has lost electricity. Valentina and and her friends are asking to protect them from ruzzian invaders who are trying to take over their city again.

Please, keep praying for our defenders holding ruzzian horde from advancing. Pray for God’s protection and provision for people in Lyman and many other villages and towns in Ukraine close to the front lines. Pray for Ukraine’s victory to come soon!

18 days left till spring…

  1. Our Father in heaven,
    Deliver us from evil
Give us today our daily bread.
    Lead us not into temptation.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
    Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory
