From Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (365th day of ruzzian invasion): A year ago at 5am on Feb 24th ruzzia attacked Ukraine. That day divided our lives into “before” and “after”. We will never forget waking up to explosions. Those explosions were only the beginning of atrocities that ruzzian army brought to our land. We couldn’t have imagined the inhumane cruelty of the invaders that would unfold over this year.

Today Facebook brings in Memories my first post about the war. I wrote it a few minutes after realizing that the war had started. The post was very short. I remember feeling totally at a loss – we knew our lives had just been upended – our plans, dreams, and hopes fell under the dark shadow of war. Our decision to stay had been made weeks before, so we didn’t have to wrestle with that on the day the war started. Everything else was uncertain.

So that first post in the morning of 24th said, We are not running anywhere except with prayer to God… Those words are still true.

2/24/2022: We hear explosions in Kyiv at 5am. Putin announced war against Ukraine. Please, pray, for Ukraine, pray that the aggressor will be defeated!
