From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 394):
For the Lord will not forsake his people;
he will not abandon his heritage;
for justice will return to the righteous,
and all the upright in heart will follow it.
Psalm 94:14-15
According to a recent survey, 37% of Ukrainians have relatives or close friends (military or civilians) who have been killed or wounded because of the Russian aggression since February 24, 2022. Who knows how big this number will be once the war is over?
I recently read an article that explained the weariness we all feel. As the full-scale war crossed 1-year mark, many of us had to face an existential crisis as this full-scale stage was no longer measured in days and months but will be measured in years. It means we will need to adjust to this new timeframe, which is frightening. This adjustment crisis makes us feel weary and anxious. If this stage of war may last years, why do something today, why care, and how does one plan his life?
However, interestingly enough, this uncertainty about the future has one element no one feels doubtful about. We are all convinced that Ukraine will gain victory in this war since we fight for freedom and life. And this one stronghold helps us discover motivation on a daily basis to keep moving, keep fighting, and do everything to bring our victory closer.
May the Lord bless us in our fight. May He keep our defenders safe. May He bring our enemies to repentance.

Our Father in heaven,
Deliver us from evil.
Give us today our daily bread.
Lead us not into temptation.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory.

Praying those very things myself!! Heavenly Father, You who gave victory to David against Goliath, may the Ukraine defenders depend upon You at this time as they defend themselves against the enemy!
