4/30/2023 – Lord, please, stop the terrorists!

From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 430):

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.
Psalm 130:5-6

Early this morning, drones attacked a fuel depot in occupied Sevastopol (Crimea). The explosion destroyed 10 tanks with oil products, a total capacity of 40,000 tons. According to our Intelligence, this fuel was intended for the Russian Black Sea fleet. Ukraine has made no official comments.
During the first weeks of this invasion, the Ukrainian army managed to destroy the logistics of the Russian military, which made them retreat. Cutting their supply chains is vital today as well. Lord, make them run out of ammunition and fuel!

Our General Staff has reported the increasing number of Russian soldiers who refuse to follow orders because of significant losses, untimely supply of ammunition, lack of sufficient personal protective equipment, and the forcing of Russian armed forces servicemen to conduct assault operations without the support of heavy equipment and artillery. Lord, make them rebel against evil! Make them see what they are participating in, help them repent, and change their hearts!

The US is wiring Ukraine with sensors that can detect‌‌ bursts of radiation from a nuclear weapon or a dirty bomb and can confirm the identity of the attacker. If Russia detonates a radioactive weapon on Ukrainian soil, its atomic signature and Moscow’s culpability could be verified (according to the NYT). Someone left a comment under this news report, “Oh, so Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons in the 1990s in exchange for radiation sensors?” It does sound ridiculous. At the same time, it means that American officials are concerned about the possibility of a nuclear strike and want to take serious precautions. Lord, please, stop the terrorists!

  1. Really it seems the Cold War never ended, just a pause. These detectors are far better than us having drills to hide under our school desks back in the early ‘60s.

    I keep praying for an end to this war and God’s protection every day.
