From Euromaiden Press: 13-year-old Ukrainian Sofia Samolyuk refused to share the stage with the Russian paricipants in Italy’s Sanremo Junior 2023 song contest.
“I will not perform on the same stage alongside Russian terrorists killing Ukrainian children. I hope there will be no terrorist country on this stage next year. Please support Ukraine,” stated Sofia from the stage.
On 3 May, a few hours before the contest, the organizers announced the participation of the Russians.
