From Ira Kapitonova (Day 437):
By the waters of Babylon, there we sat down and wept, when we remembered Zion.
Psalm 137:1
We nostalgically remember the peaceful days.
We plant trees and flowers.
We shelter from the missiles coming at our land.
We rejoice for the release of POWs (42 came home today).
We weep for the fallen defenders.
We cheer for our air-defense forces and thank our allies (for the first time, the Patriot air-defense system downed a Russian hypersonic missile).
We rage at Russia’s violation of international conventions (they shelled Bakhmut with phosphorus weapons and deliberately killed 6 emergency service workers while they were demining civil infrastructure in the liberated part of the Kherson region).
We take our children to the park and hope to create a semblance of normal life for them.
We quietly cry at night out of anger and exhaustion.
We support our army and raise funds for their needs.
We resist the enemy because we want to live and love.
We pray and trust that the Lord will not forsake us.

Psalm 54
1 Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.
2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
3 For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
5 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
6 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord; for it is good.
7 For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
