From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 453):
I lay down and slept;
I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.
Psalm 3:5
Every night since the beginning of the full-scale war, we go to bed, wake up and recognize that God sustained us. However, this truth applies to everyone – we live and breathe only because the Lord sustains us. How aware are you of this?
There are times when this truth becomes more vivid. Last night, the Russians mercilessly attacked the city of Dnipro. In the middle of the night, they launched 20 kamikaze drones (all shot down by our air defense) and 16 cruise missiles (4 shot down). The city shook from explosions. One of the most damaged locations was an emergency and rescue station. Three buildings and 20 machinery units were lost to fire. Needless to say, this was a grave violation of the Geneva Convention.
A crucial diplomatic victory was achieved in the international arena today. The NATO Parliamentary Assembly recognized the crimes of Russia against Ukraine as genocide and unanimously recognized the regime in the Russian Federation as ruscism. The declaration text also includes support for establishing an international tribunal, assistance to Ukraine before and after the victory, condemnation of the ideology of ruscism, restoration of territorial integrity, sanctions, reparations, and a “Marshall Plan.” This is a powerful declaration that will have significant political consequences. We are grateful for this show of support.
Salvation belongs to the Lord;
your blessing be on your people!
Psalm 3:8
