6/13/2023 – Ukrainian woman warrior defies despair to carry on the legacy of her beloved men

Yaryna Chuchman-Mynio suffered the loss of her father and fiancée, both of whom served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Determined to confront her grief, she enlisted in the army and continued defending her homeland.

First, Yaryna completed her studies at the National Defense University in Kyiv, attained the rank of officer, and underwent specialized training to become an operator of strike UAVs.

Yaryna undertakes this mission in honor of her cherished father Mykhailo and her beloved fiancé Ivan.

War ravages entire families and generations, yet it paradoxically serves as a remedy for wounded and grieving souls. The story of Yaryna Chuchman-Mynio, a resident of Lviv, attests to this truth.

  1. Humbling. I can’t imagine my two daughters (older than Yaryna) learning their husbands had been killed. Continue praying this war will end soon, victorious for Ukraine.
