From Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv Great news! Disqualification of Olga Kharlan, Ukrainian fencer, who refused to shake hands with ruzzian fencer, has been revoked. She can continue competing. Thought for Ukrainians she is already the Winner!
Repost (reposting from Vadim Gutstait – Minister of Youth Sports of Ukraine): The International Fencing Federation allowed Olga Kharlan to continue the competition within the World Championship in Milan
thanks to the persistent efforts of the Fencing Federation of Ukraine as well as my appeal as a member of the Executive Committee of the International Federation Olga Harlan was allowed to team competitions at the World Championship.
It’s a fair and right decision. Consideration of the disqualification issue has been postponed.
Cheering on our fencers tomorrow!
We work further for our athletes in the name of Ukraine! πΊπ¦πΊπ¦πΊπ¦
