So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
Psalm 90:12

“Teach us to number our days”… In a way, this war has taught us that our days here on earth are fleeting. It has highlighted that all the treasures we pile up in our life can be blown to pieces in a matter of minutes, and that’s when you realize that all you need is your loved ones. It has emphasized the importance of values and how easily they can be tested in ways you had never imagined.

… “that we may get a heart of wisdom.” I pray that wisdom is what we gain from this war. I pray we’ll remember to cherish time with our loved ones and make every minute count. I pray we’ll remember to be bold and do our best not to have regrets. I pray we’ll remember that true wisdom comes from the fear of the Lord, and I’m convinced that the fear of the Lord will bring us to our victory.

One of our friends defending Ukraine on the frontlines has a badge that says, “The Lord is the One who protects and grants victory.” I can only say, “Amen!”
