From Ira Kapitonova near Kyiv (Day 542):
Though the wicked sprout like grass
and all evildoers flourish,
they are doomed to destruction forever;
but you, O Lord, are on high forever.
Psalm 92:7-8
Today, Russian missiles hit a drama theater in downtown Chernihiv. There was a drone exhibit taking place there at the time. However, the officials say that most victims were not part of the event and were simply passing by the theater when a missile hit it. No wonder it was a day off and a big feast for the orthodox Christians (Feast of the Transfiguration), so many people were returning from the church service then.
Today’s terrorist attack took the lives of 7 people (including a 6-year-old girl) and injured 129 people (including 15 children and 15 police officers).
On days like this, I feel angry. No child should know what explosions and sirens sound like. No city should suffer from sudden attacks on its downtown areas. No country should be invaded because its violent neighbor is thirsty for blood and power. It shouldn’t be this way. It’s against God’s design and our nature, and that’s why it is so sickening for anyone aware of the truth. Lord, have mercy.

It makes you long for heaven! How sweet the promises become, when life here is unbearable!
