From Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (548th day): It’s been 18 months since the big ruzzian invasion started. There are many stories and photos that became symbolic of Ukrainian resistance to the evil that wants to destroy us. Yesterday, there was an article with several stories/photos like that.
One of those was Tank in the Garden.
The village of Velyka Dymerka in the Kyiv region was occupied for 23 days at the beginning of the ruzzian invazion, but everyday life returned much faster than expected. The local Seminog family, raising three children, lost their home to the ruzzan invasion, but their vegetable garden has become a true symbol of indomitability. The body of the destroyed ruzzian tank left here, which brought death and destruction to Velika Dymerka, did not prevent the family from planting their garden with beets, cabbage and other vegetables. At first, the owners say, the equipment was not removed on time, and then they did not want to lose the harvest due to dismantling work. Photos of this area, where life defeated the war, spread first in Ukrainian social networks, and later around the world, thanks to Reuters and AR correspondents.
The photo and the story are truly symbolic. We have seen so many similar examples on our trips to de-occupied territories! As soon as the enemy is pushed out, people work hard to restore, rebuild, replant! We wait for the day when all our land is free from the invaders and we can remove all ruzzian trash of tanks and landmines from our soil and heal our land and rebuild homes!
