9/3/2023 – What is perseverance?

From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 556):

Remember me, O Lord, when you show favor to your people;
help me when you save them,
that I may look upon the prosperity of your chosen ones,
that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation,
that I may glory with your inheritance.
Psalm 106:4‭-‬5

What is perseverance?

On September 3, five prosthetic veterans will hike through the Carpathians to raise 10 million UAH (270 thousand USD) for their brothers in arms.

Oleksandr Shvetsov, Yevhen Smaha, Oleksiy Burlakov, Anatoliy Kyrda, and Denys Sherengovskyi were seriously wounded while defending the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions.

Now, they want to raise funds and prove that life goes on even if you are wounded. With each million collected, they will shed a kilogram of extra weight (sandbags) that they carry in their shoulder bags.

Our defenders are not tired of fighting for victory, so we shouldn’t tire of supporting and praying for them.
