From Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (560th day): The worst part of traveling abroad during the war is being in safety while my city is under missile and drone attack and my family is in danger. For me, it was 9:42am, at home it was 4:42am when air raid started. The whole of Ukraine lit up in red with air raid warning. There were 8 missiles and 15 drones. The news I was following was reporting explosions in Kyiv an hour later. At that early morning hour, I couldn’t expect to hear from my family, just checked Telegram news channel updates obsessively, waiting to hear where the missiles and drones hit. A sense of helplessness and guilt is overwhelming at times like this.

Thank God all the missiles and drones targeting Kyiv were shot by our air defense. Unfortunately, in Konstantynivka, Donetsk region, 17 people were killed and 32 injured by ruzzian artillery attack… Another day of war, another day of losses. The scary video footage is from Konstantynivka.
