9/7/2023 – Expecting the worst is one of the worst newly acquired skills in this war…

Today’s picture shows the cruel statistics of the terrorist attacks we’ve faced.

From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 560):

The Lord says to my Lord:
“Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.”
Psalm 110:1

Expecting the worst is one of the worst newly acquired skills in this war. Going away for a weekend, you bring an extra supply of medicine or pack an extra pair of clothes in case your trip doesn’t go as planned. Some teachers shared that last year, they would prepare a regular lesson, a ready-to-use lesson as a backup in case of a blackout, and an alternative lesson if the students have to study in a crowded basement. You must always be prepared, always expecting the worst.

Going to bed at night, I always wonder if we’ll have to wake up to an air raid. You try not to sleep too heavily so as not to miss it. Last night, our air defense shot down 7 cruise missiles, a ballistic rocket, and 15 (of 25) kamikaze drones. The missiles were aimed at Kyiv, and most drones attacked the Odesa region.

And today, Russian missiles hit a market in Kostiantynivka, the Donetsk region, killing at least 17 and wounding 32 people.

Oh Lord, come and make the enemies your footstool!
