From Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 604):
In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 4:8
When shellings and sirens continue, when the future is unknown, we can hold onto the signs of God’s faithfulness in the past.
For example, this picture of an unexploded shell found in a tree in Irpin (Kyiv region). It got stuck, and it’s a miracle it hasn’t exploded since the town was liberated in the spring of 2022. The bomb squad safely removed the shell, but I wonder how many lives have been preserved over these months.
God is good even when His works seem invisible.
