Praise the Lord, our air-defense forces shot down 18 of 20 kamikaze drones and a missile during last night’s attack. The drones hit an oil refinery plant in Kremenchuk, so it’s not operating now.
The Economist published a column by Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi (https://t.ly/Ck-gW). In the column, he is very straightforward about what needs to be done to help Ukraine win: “A positional war is a prolonged one that carries enormous risks to Ukraine’s armed forces and to its state. If Ukraine is to escape from that trap, we will need air superiority, much-improved electronic-warfare and counter-battery capabilities, new mine-breaching technology, and the ability to mobilise and train more reserves. We also need to focus on modern command and control—so we can visualize the battlefield more effectively than Russia and make decisions more quickly—and on rationalizing our logistics while disrupting Russia’s with longer-range missiles. New, innovative approaches can turn this war of position back into one of maneuver.”

At the same time, the intelligence services of other countries confirm cooperation between Russia and other dictatorships. For example, North Korea sent over a million artillery shells to Russia. It would cover its ammunition needs for about two months.
Also, it was reported that Russia has created “doubles” of Der Spiegel and Fox News websites to spread its propaganda more effectively. Please double-check any information you come across, especially if it seems shady.

As I’m writing this, half the regions of Ukraine are under the air raid warning. Kamikaze drones have been spotted over Kyiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia. We pray for God’s protection and His guidance on our air-defense forces.
..We keep praying for God to stop the enemy army. We know He is at work even when we don’t see it. This was on the news about a week ago, but I didn’t see it until a fellow prayer warrior pointed it out to me. There was a case of Russian troops being infected with anthrax after unearthing a burial site for cattle while digging defensive trenches in the Zaporizhzhia region in preparation for Ukraine’s counter-offensive. The deadly disease was diagnosed in at least two soldiers, but the whole unit was ordered into immediate quarantine. It is not something we had in mind when we were praying for the enemy army to be stopped, yet it’s an incredible reminder that God’s ways are not our ways. May it all work out for His glory.
