11/7/2023 – We are praying for warm mild winter and for ruzzians to fail in their evil plans…

The stamps in the picture of this post were issued by the Ukrainian Post Service last spring to commemorate the heroism of workers of energy infrastructure the previous winter. The name of these stamp series: Warriors of Light, Warriors of Goodness.

From Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (621st day):

Last year at this time, we were scrambling to find generators for all our churches. With the help of many friends literally around the world, we were able to get generators for Light Hubs not only in our churches but help some other churches in our communities as well.

Blackouts became regular and as winter progressed, they got longer. Massive missile strikes were every 10-14 days. Nobody knew how many strikes our energy infrastructure could take before collapsing completely. Thankfully and miraculously after every hit, power stations and other energy facilities got repaired and continued functioning, even if not at full capacity.

This year because the fall weather has been unusually warm ruzzians haven’t started their massive terrorist attacks on our energy facilities yet. There is still daily news about drone and missile attacks, most frequently on Odesa and Odesa port, but also Kherson region, Avdiivka and other places. We know that a lower number of missiles now is not evidence that ruzzians are running out of ammunition. But rather they are saving for the colder months, and that’s a concern. These days every time I hear an air raid siren, I ask myself, is this it? are ruzzians restarting winter terrorism?

The weather forecast shows we still have at least one more week of temperatures above 0. The longer it lasts, the better. We are praying for warm mild winter and for ruzzians to fail in their evil plans.
