11/8/2023 – I believe that God’s hand can be seen in every aspect of our life, even if it takes some looking…

Today’s picture — lilac flowers were spotted in Kyiv this week. The unusual warmth brought about this tiny message of hope. Photos shared on the internet.

From: Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 622):

In you our fathers trusted;
they trusted, and you delivered them.
To you they cried and were rescued;
in you they trusted and were not put to shame.
Psalm‬ ‭22:4‭-‬5‬

I don’t know if that is global warming, but I can’t deny that the weather in Ukraine this fall is a sign of God’s mercy. We’ve had an average of 16°C (60 F) and above for the past few weeks. That’s why it’s hard to believe it’s November. The weather forecast promises rain and a slight drop in temperature in the next week, but it doesn’t look like it will get to freezing any time soon.
This warmth offers a bit of reprieve to us, civilians, who know Russia is waiting for colder weather to start its attacks on our energy system. I can’t speak for the soldiers in the trenches, but I hope it’s also a relief for them.

It’s not just me rambling about weather. I believe that God’s hand can be seen in every aspect of our life, even if it takes some looking.
