From: Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (689th day): According to Ukraine’s count, over the past 689 days ruzzian army lost 369,160 military personnel. What did they come to die for?

At the same time, a majority (63%) of ruzzians continue to support the full-scale war against Ukraine, which is viewed by another 64% as symptomatic of a larger “civilizational struggle between ruzzia and the West,” according to a poll released on Jan. 9 by the University of Chicago’s nonpartisan National Opinion Research Center (NORC).

The figure represented a slight decrease from a poll conducted by the ruzzian independent polling organization The Levada Center in November 2023, in which 75% of respondents said they supported the war.

As the ruzzian presidential election approaches, in which putin is seeking a 5th term in office, 66% of respondents said they would be “more likely” to vote for him. The level of support was even higher among older generations. Not that anybody’s votes in ruzzia matter. The dictator will be “elected” regardless of votes.

The poll also indicated that ruzzians are heavily animated by the place of ruzzia in the world. An overwhelming majority (94%) expressed at least a moderate level of pride in their ruzzian identity. Another 62% said they believed ruzzia is treated unfairly in the world.

The only thing that can help ruzzia recover from this madness is a complete defeat in this war. Nothing else has a chance to cure them.
