2/23/2024 – I’ve been sitting for almost two hours, trying to pull myself together…

From: Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 729):

‭‭Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth,
yet they have not prevailed against me.
Psalm 129:2

I’ve been sitting for almost two hours, trying to pull myself together and write my daily update, but the thoughts keep escaping me. Even though I am too busy to focus on my thoughts and feelings too much, I can tell how high my anxiety level is. Flashbacks from two years ago, wondering if Russia will launch a massive attack on the 24th (or they will choose to do it one day early or one day late), international news that seems to cause too much worrying lately. I know it’s part of Russia’s plan to break our spirit, so I’m longing for these days to be over.

  1. Our Father in heaven,
    Hallowed be Thy name
    Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven [because we love You and want to please You and know what You say is best]
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us what we owe; may we forgive others what they owe us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
for Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
