From: Maia Mikhaluk (747th day): Ukrainians are proud that the documentary 20 Days in Mariupol took the first Oscar in Ukrainian history, but as the filmmaker said in his speech, we all wish this film had never been made for it shows unspeakable suffering inflicted on our people by invaders. We wish it never happened but at least in this day and age the war crimes can be exposed. Deepest respect for the courage of filmmakers who risked their lives to document atrocities committed by ruzzians in Mariupol.
If you have a chance, please, watch the film. You will understand why we are asking you to pray for Ukraine’s Victory. There is no room for compromise.

From Maia Mikhaluk (384th day of ruzzzian invazion):
Amsterdam airport passport control.
Customs officer: What is your final destination?
Me: Kyiv.
Officer: Is it safe there already?
Me: Not really. There are missile strikes still happening regularly.
Officer: Why are you going to Kyiv then?
Me: It’s my home. My family is there.
Officer: If there are missile strikes regularly why doesn’t your family leave Ukraine?
Me: It’s our home.
I had a feeling he didn’t find my answers satisfying. But what else can I say? Ukraine is my home!
