From: New Voice of Ukraine 🇺🇦 Ukraine does not need to mobilize “half a million people,” Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a press conference in Kyiv on April 3, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine news agency. At the same time, the president did not specify how many new recruits the Ukrainian military currently needs.
He also thanked Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi for running an “audit” of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, identifying untapped troop reserves Kyiv can now use to rotate out some of its battered units.
“It is important that he [Syrskyi] has found the necessary forces within the Armed Forces; some troops who were never deployed to the front, will be at the front,” Zelenskyy said.
