It’s hard to feel hopeful these days. The uncertainty of what is to come drains me even though I remind myself that the ways of the Lord are much higher than our ways.

Today, during chapel, our kids learned about poverty. They heard some stories of poor kids in Africa and South America. When our son came home today, he kept talking about the kids living below the poverty line and how he wanted to help and encourage them. It became such a powerful encouragement for me to take my eyes off our problems and shift them to someone else. God never said our lives were about making ourselves feel good and comfortable. I am so grateful that our kids can learn this truth even during war. May they keep their eyes on the Lord and become the generation to bring change to the world.
