8/8/2024 — Ukraine’s Armed Forces allegedly seize three villages in Kursk Oblast, now present in 10 — Russian media

Ukraine’s Armed Forces captured the settlements of Nikolayevo-Daryino, Daryino, and Sverdlykovo in Kursk Oblast, Russian pro-war media claimed, Astra Telegram channel wrote on Aug. 7.

Kursk Oblast is facing “a difficult situation” in the Sudzha district, the Russians claim. Control line on the Rylsk-Sudzha highway is unknown, the so-called “war correspondents” pointed out.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly managed to expand its control zone along highway 38K-004 to the southeast, advancing towards the western suburb of Sudzha-Goncharovka, the Russians claimed.

Fighting seems to be underway in the settlement.

The tense situation remains in the village of Oleshnia, where the Russian soldiers are “practically encircled” in fighting.

Up to 400 Ukrainian soldiers are present in Kursk Oblast.

The Ukrainian command allegedly continues to deploy its reserves, Russian “military correspondents” claimed.
