From: Zelenskyy — President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the return of 189 Ukrainians from Russian captivity, calling it “very good news.”
The group includes defenders of Azovstal, Mariupol, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and Zmiinyi Island. Among them are soldiers, sergeants, officers, National Guardsmen (including Azov members), border guards, Territorial Defense forces, Navy personnel, Armed Forces members, and two civilians captured in Mariupol.
“Each of them has loved ones waiting at home. It’s a joy to have brought them back. We continue working to free every Ukrainian in captivity. No one is forgotten,” Zelenskyy said.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported the return of 150 Russian prisoners from Ukraine.
