Documentary about ruzzian persecution of Ukrainian evangelical Christians will be shown in the US. You or your church can host a screening of the film. Please, find the link in the comment of Paul Linscott under this post.

This documentary film, Faith Under Siege, was shot in Ukraine, and it shows suffering of evangelical Christians on occupied by ruzzia territories. The film’s producer, Colby Barrett, wanted to show the struggle of Ukrainian Christians, highlight the persecution that evangelicals are experiencing under ruzzian occupation, and also refute the Kremlin’s propaganda that tries to portray ruzzia as a “defender of Christian values.”

“There’s so much propaganda around these issues right now that we wanted to directly expose the truth and talk to people who have suffered under the ruzzian occupation for their faith. And that’s really what the documentary is about,” Barrett told CBN.

The filmmakers show the ruzzia attitude towards Christians in Ukraine as it is. Despite the stereotypes and ruzzian propaganda about “Christian Russia” and the Kremlin’s support for traditional values, the reality is completely different. The aggressor is targeting Ukrainian evangelicals, and the Protestant minority is particularly persecuted in the occupied territories both because of their pro-Ukrainian stance and because of their denominational affiliation.

The film focuses on first-hand accounts – pastors and believers testifying to how they continue to believe and serve God, despite mortal danger. The film opens our eyes to the realities of the occupied territories, where Ukrainian pastors are tortured and churches are destroyed or closed. The ruzzians are kidnapping Ukrainian children, including from church orphanages, and trying to break the will of believers in order to force them to renounce their religion or simply disappear.

The documentary not only reveals the scale of the persecution but also calls on the international Christian community to show solidarity. Its creators plan to make the film available to everyone in order to convey this message to a wide audience. “We don’t just want to tell a story — we want to inspire action, prayer, and support for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine,” Barrett emphasized.

One of the key tasks of distributing this film is to appeal to evangelical Christians in the United States, who have leverage over their representatives in power. Work on the film was completed on February 4, but the authors are not currently planning festival or commercial screenings. Barrett emphasized that the film will be available to watch through a platform where anyone can organize their own screenings, and the main distribution channel will be screenings in American churches.

The founder of the Ukraine Freedom Project, Stephen Moore, plays a leading role in promoting the film. He is actively working to convey the truth about the ruzzian persecution of Christians to members of Congress and American society in general. Moore emphasizes that Ukrainian Protestants are experiencing the same persecution that Christians experienced during the Soviet Union, and calls on Americans to support Ukraine in this fight, because it is also a fight for religious freedom.
