6/11/2025 — Did you survive? Are you alive?

From: Dasha Peipon — These are the types of question an average person will jokingly ask someone who just took a hard test, had to do a house inspection or undergo an unpleasant dental procedure.

These are the questions I ask my friends in Ukraine quite regularly – not as an exaggeration.

Ukrainians have asked for help in closing the skies over their homes and their loved ones, but the world chooses to remain deaf and not respond to those pleas. So russia continues to terrorize and goes unpunished.

I ask my friends, what else can be done, besides praying nonstop and donating resources for the defense of Ukraine. They ask me to keep talking, to keep sharing the truth about this war, to remind the world about Ukraine – still bleeding, still breathing, still fighting.

Here is what a friend who lives near Kyiv shared when I asked her about the massive drone and missile attack last night:

“My husband and I lay in bed, holding each other, and listened to the ominous hum of the shaheed drones, as they were being shot down. After the explosions, everything trembles: our house, our souls, and our hearts. When death passes over your head and moves on, it’s far from relief – because in its path ahead, on the 9th floor in Kyiv, are your children and grandchildren. All you can do is only pray and cover them in your mind with your tattered wings.”

Friends across the world, please keep praying, keep supporting Ukraine, keep talking to your politicians.
