8/18/2025 — We’re not looking for the red carpet or extravagant display of affection, yet we are praying for whatever is true, just, and honest to take place during that meeting…

From: Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 1271)

Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come;
you have given the command to save me,
for you are my rock and my fortress.
Rescue me, O my God,
from the hand of the wicked,
from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man.
For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.
Psalm 71:3-5

Tomorrow, on Monday, another important meeting will take place in the USA. President Zelenskyi will meet with President Trump. We’re not looking for the red carpet or extravagant display of affection, yet we are praying for whatever is true, just, and honest to take place during that meeting. We’re praying for God’s wisdom and discernment to be in the room. We’re praying for the honorable choices and decisions. We’re not putting our trust in men, but we pray for the men in charge to put their trust in the Lord and seek His will above all. Wouldn’t it be a powerful testimony as the whole world is watching in anticipation?

Oh Lord, intervene, show your power and might, let your glory be revealed, and your will be done during the meeting.

My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have redeemed.
And my tongue will talk of your righteous help all the day long,
for they have been put to shame and disappointed who sought to do me hurt.
Psalm 71:23-24

  1. Psalm 60:10 Have you not rejected us, O God?
        You do not go forth, O God, with our armies.
    11 Oh, grant us help against the foe,
        for vain is the salvation of man!
    12 With God we shall do valiantly;
        it is he who will tread down our foes.

    Lord, it is you we look to for salvation. Work in world leaders to bring a just peace to Ukraine.
